About us

ELECTRA – Electoral Literacy Empowering Citizens and Building Resilient Awareness is a European project funded under the CERV Programme that promotes democratic participation, electoral literacy, and resilience against disinformation. Bringing together municipalities and civil society organisations from seven European countries, the project empowers citizens to actively participate in democratic life while strengthening trust, inclusion, and civic engagement across local communities.

Through innovative, participatory, and transnational activities, ELECTRA creates opportunities for citizens, local authorities, youth, women, educators, and community organisations to exchange experiences, develop new skills, and work together towards more inclusive and resilient democracies.

Our Mission

ELECTRA’s mission is to strengthen democratic resilience by empowering citizens with the knowledge, skills, and confidence needed to participate actively in democratic processes. The project promotes electoral literacy, critical thinking, digital resilience, and inclusive civic dialogue while fostering cooperation between citizens, local authorities, and civil society. By encouraging informed participation and combating disinformation, ELECTRA contributes to building stronger, more transparent, and more democratic European communities.
