ELECTRA – Electoral Literacy Empowering Citizens and Building Resilient Awareness is a European cooperation project dedicated to strengthening democracy by promoting electoral literacy, active citizenship, and resilience against disinformation. At a time when democratic participation is challenged by misinformation, political polarization, and declining trust in institutions, ELECTRA empowers citizens to become informed, engaged, and confident participants in democratic life.
Bringing together partners from France, Greece, Italy, Bulgaria, Spain, Slovenia, and Serbia, the project creates opportunities for citizens, local authorities, civil society organisations, and young people to exchange knowledge, develop critical thinking skills, and actively contribute to democratic decision-making. Through participatory activities such as town hall forums, election simulations, digital resilience workshops, storytelling exchanges, and co-creation laboratories, ELECTRA promotes inclusive dialogue and encourages meaningful civic participation.
